Some jurisdictions or document types (Tier B/C) need extra formality; when in doubt, confirm with counsel.
Free forever means free forever for one-person businesses. There is no promotion running and no expiry date on your account. Our revenue comes from Pro, which is for teams who need multiple users, SMS verification or their own branding. If you stay a one-person business, you never pay us anything.
No. Your client opens the link you send, confirms with a one-time code sent to their email, and signs. They never create an account, never set a password and never pay anything. If they want to come back later, they can use the Signer Portal with the same email and code.
Your documents remain yours. You can download any signed document and its audit trail at any time, in a standard format that works outside SignFree. Closing your account does not delete your right to your own records, and nothing is locked behind a paid plan.
Pro starts when someone else needs to log in and work inside your account. People who only receive and sign your documents are signers, not team members, so you can send to as many contractors, clients and freelancers as you like on Free. If you bring someone in to manage documents alongside you, that is when Pro applies.
