This update makes signing smoother, emails clearer, and a few everyday flows more reliable.
What’s new
- Log in with a one-time code — Sign in with a code sent to your email instead of a password.
- Terms at signup — New accounts confirm they agree to our Terms and Conditions before creating an account.
- Ask the sender — If something looks wrong before you sign, send a short message to the sender. They see it on the document and get an email. This works for email, templates, and share-by-link.
- Clearer emails — Invitations, reminders, and completed-document emails are easier to read and more consistent.
- Faster sealed downloads — The final signed PDF is sealed more quickly, so downloading the completed document should feel snappier.
- Text fields, your choice — When you add a text field, it is no longer assigned automatically. You pick which signer should fill it in.
- Smarter document check — Contracts that mention things like a bank account or tax ID are no longer blocked just for that. We still watch for real fraud, and we still block documents that look like credential-harvesting scams.
- Download the document as it stands — On documents with more than one signature, Download now gives you the latest version with the signatures already collected — not the original blank file.
Fixes
- Audit trail download works again for one-click signed documents.
- After a recipient has already verified, Download original no longer sends them back to the one-time-code screen.
- Magic links no longer offer email OTP, which was causing send failures.
- Sending a template with a magic link no longer fails with a “signer index” error.
- Recipient counts stay accurate (no extra phantom signer on the review step).
- Completing a document no longer fails when a signer is also copied (CC) on the same email address. That person gets one completion email, not two.
- Error messages for already-signed and already-sealed documents display correctly and can be translated.
