SignFree New Features (November 2026): Custom Email Domain, Mobile Signing & Scanned PDFs
SignFree 8.17 is live, with PDF service 8.15 behind the scenes. Pro customers can send from their own domain, tune outbound signing emails, and sign more comfortably on phones. We also improved handling for PDFs from office scanners and multi-function printers.
1. Custom email domain (Pro)
Pro account administrators can authenticate a custom sending domain in Profile → Email domain. After DNS verification, signing invitations and related emails can send from noreply@yourdomain.com instead of a shared pool address — alongside your existing logo and brand color.
Example
A bookkeeping firm verifies books.example.com. Clients receive “Please sign your engagement letter” from noreply@books.example.com, matching the firm’s website and inbox expectations.
Use case: Agencies and professional services that already white-label the signing experience now extend that trust to the From address recipients see in their inbox.
2. Email templates (Pro)
Under Profile → Email templates, Pro admins can set a sender display name, Reply-To address, and optional Bcc on completion emails that go to you. These settings apply to outbound signing emails for your workspace.
Example
Set display name “Acme Legal”, Reply-To contracts@acme.com, and Bcc your archive mailbox so signed PDF notifications are filed automatically.
3. Mobile signing and Mobile view
Signing on phones is clearer: better tag placement, signature sizing, and layout on small screens. In the template designer, authors can turn on Mobile view when preparing documents so field placement lines up with how signers see the PDF on a phone.
Use case: Field technicians and clients who sign on the go spend less time pinching, zooming, and hunting for tiny signature boxes.
4. Scanned PDFs (Xerox and MFP)
Many contracts still arrive as scans from Xerox, HP, and other multi-function printers. SignFree now detects more of these files, normalizes them when needed, and signs them more reliably end-to-end.
Use case: Real-estate and operations teams that receive scanned amendments and addenda can send them for signature without re-scanning or converting files first.
